FOOTPRINTS ON MOON
On 20th July 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Aldrin and Neil Armstrong landed on moon for the first time. Neil Armstrong became the first human being to walk on the surface other than the Earth. But for how long will his footprints stay on the surface of moon? The answer is probably as long as the moon itself last. Following are the reasons:
- There is no atmosphere on the moon hence no wind erosion
- All the water on the surface of moon is frozen and hence no water erosion.
- There is no volcanic activity on moon to change the lunar surface.
