MOST AMAZING ROCK FORMATIONS

Image
The Wave in Arizona, is reached by an approximately 3 mile (4.8 kilometers) one way hike. The Wave Arizona is an area close to Utah-Arizona borderline. It is a unique place of bizarre and delightful rock formations located at the Paria Rimrocks, extending towards the Vermillion Cliffs and the Coyote Buttes. The famous formations are made of the so called Jurassic age Navajo Sandstone, which turned to rock after almost 200 million years. The hillocks are piled up atop each other forming these strange formations in both vertical and horizontal layers. The entire area is like a gallery of unique sandstone arrangements which come in different sizes and patterns; some of them resemble mushrooms, some others pillars and cones. In any case the Wave Arizona features the oddest mixture of colors in the US, as deposits of iron and other metals have added to the creation of a colorful rainbow amidst the rocks.

THE TAJ MAHAL MONUMENT (AGRA)

Image
A real Tribute to Beauty and Human Love, The Taj Mahal monument is located in Agra, India and is constructed between 1631 and 1654 by a workforce of 22,000 humans. The Muslim Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned its construction as a mausoleum for his favourite wife, Arjumand Bano Begum, who is better known as Mumtaz.  The Taj Mahal (sometimes called “the Taj”) is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Indian, Islamic and Persian architectures. The Taj Mahal has achieved special note because of the romance of its inspiration. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar part of the monument, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures.
