MOUNT EVEREST
Mount Everest is the highest mountain on the earth. Its peak is at 8848 meters above the sea level. It is the 5th tallest mountain measured from the centre of the Earth. It is located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas.
Approximately 4,000 people attempted to climb Mount Everest, out of which only 660 succeeded. 142 climbers have been died attempting to climb Mount Everest.
Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary were the first to climb Mount Everest on May 29, 1953.
