This Shrine is home to 37 Mahagiri spirits. Statues depicting the spirits are at the base of the Shrine. At the 777 steps to the summit, you will be asked to remove your socks and shoes. Hungry monkeys will be greeted along the way, so bring something to feed them or keep your belongings close to you, they may run off with your lunch.

Elevation - 9219 feet (2810 metres) Mount Roraima is also known as Cerro Roraima and Tepuy Roraima. It is the highest of the Pakaraima chain of tepui plateau in South America. This mountain was first described by the English explorer Sir Walter Raleigh in 1596. According to him its summit area is 31 square kilometres which is defended on all sides by tall cliffs rising 1300 feet (400 metres).
