SANTUARIO DE LAS LAJAS, COLOMBIA

Las Lajas Sanctuary (Santuario de Las Lajas in Spanish) is a basilica church located in the southern Colombian Department of Nariño, municipality of Ipiales. This church was built inside the canyon of the Guáitara River.

 This church was built between January 1, 1916 and August 20, 1949. Donations for making this church came from local churchgoers. It rises 330 feet (100 metres) high from the bottom of the canyon and is connected with a 160 feet (50 metres) tall bridge to the opposite side of the canyon.

Elevation - 9219 feet (2810 metres) Mount Roraima is also known as Cerro Roraima and Tepuy Roraima. It is the highest of the Pakaraima chain of tepui plateau in South America.
